Practical Horsemanship Clinics
JJ Ranch Clinics
Our ranch clinics here at the JJ south of Coats, Ks follow the same approach as our off-ranch
clinics. We strive to build a willing frame of mind in both horse and rider. What we have access
to here on the JJ is 3000 acres of pasture, brush, hills, and trails to work on. Being able to take a
class outside and actually work in a more realistic environment (outside the arena), is absolutely
amazing! We have cattle here May through Nov. to introduce horses to. We have buffalo to use
for bringing out the cow-sense in your horse. We have some livestock available to rope also.
If you have been looking for an exciting, challenging place to take your horse to learn, then you
have come to the right place. There is nothing like giving your horse a job to do, and the
responsibility of some real ranch work, to bring out that willing frame of mind. The environment
here at the JJ is perfect for your chance to overcome those certain issues that have been holding
you back! So saddle up and get ready to…Ride the Dream!
We have a cabin available for students to stay in here at the ranch. It has a full kitchen and bath,
3 bedrooms and an incredible view from the front porch!
We also have a stall barn for the horses located close to the cabin.
Rv hookup available as well.
We will offer clinics and private sessions here at the JJ this year. You can check our calendar for
a list of clinics we are hosting for your chance to ride with other riders. If you’re not ready to
ride with a group or strange horses yet, you can schedule a private session here at the JJ. Just
call our office toll free at 866-672-5631 for more details and available dates. Don’t miss this
